you know you are german if ...

ne recht lustige gruppe auf facebook gefunden. ich bring mal ein paar beispiele:

you know you are german if

... you separate your trash into more than five different bins (hier gibts irgendwie keine trennung zwischen papier und plastik)
... you call your cell phone "handy" and a projector "beamer" (das mit dem handy muss man sich echt abgewöhnen)
... you are shocked when you have to pay for dental care (den zahnarzt zahlt man hier komplett selbst)
... you routinely go 100mph on the highway (110km/h auf autobahnen... maximal)
... you expect chocolate in your shoes on december 6th (hier gübs keinen nikolaus)
... you answer the phone giving your surname (hier sagt jeder seinen vornamen)
... the cold evening meal is eaten off wooden boards not plates
... you always fold your Tetra Pak before you throw it in the appropriate bin (macht doch auch sinn oder?)
... you serve/make a pasta salad for every occasion (erwischt, aber ich bessere mich)
... being on time means 15 minutes earlier to you (da bin ich wohl sehr deutsch)
... you wonder why all those people are standing waiting in line when it's easier to walk straight to the front (in den stoßzeiten gibts in stockholm echt schlangen von 100m vor den bushaltestellen)
... you complain about people that just sit in their car with the engine running (das muss doch auch nich sein)
... you're the only one knocking on your desk after a lecture to show your appreciation while everyone else stares at you (die klatschen hier höchstens)
... you ask whether there is anything left to do at work, and your collegues stare at you, simply because you can't stand being idle
... you get a "Schultüte" when you first start school
... you have 2 sets of tyres for your car, one for the summer and one for winter (ist das so deutsch?)
... you think putting milk in your tea is abnormal (das macht man doch auch nich)

Die Swedish People kennen wohl keine Ostfriesen? (Vorsicht, Klischee!)
